Autumn is one of my favourite times to be in the garden. Not only does everything turn that fabulous Autumn colour, it’s also the best time to rejuvenate a garden before Winter hits and Spring arrive. Here’s some jobs to keep you busy:
- Prune hedges and large shrubs to keep them compact in preparation for the colder months.
- Transfer all those fallen leaves you’ve picked up to your compost pile.
- Autumn is a great time for growing plants from cuttings or splitting plants such as Clivea.
- Use the slow growing season as an opportunity to ponder what new plants you plan on using the coming Spring.
